Mrs. Jennifer Haygood- Principal
Jennifer Haygood is currently the Principal of Malcom Bridge Elementary after serving three years as Assistant Principal. She began her career in education as a second grade teacher in Macon, GA, after falling in love with the classroom while volunteering as a guest reader during her lunch break. Mrs. Haygood's family moved to Oconee County in 2007 to be closer to extended family. She taught in Madison County for four years before transferring to Oconee County where she was in the classroom for an additional four years. During her teaching career, Mrs. Haygood served on district ELA and math curriculum and assessment teams, served as grade level chair in all three systems, began a new employee mentor program, and served as the RTI coordinator. Additionally, she has served on school accreditation review teams through AdvancEd and Cognia.
Jennifer Haygood has a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Georgia. She holds a Masters in Early Childhood Education from Wesleyan College and Specialist in Leadership Administration and Policy from the University of Georgia.
Mrs. Haygood, and her husband, Rusty, have one adult daughter.

Mr. Eric Watson- Assistant Principal
Eric Watson is the assistant principal of Malcom Bridge Elementary School. Before coming to MBES, he taught at Oconee County High School after spending 4 years at Evans High School and 7 at Lee County High School.
At Evans High School in Columbia County he taught all of the Social Studies disciplines, coached both football and track, and served as a club sponsor. At Lee County High School, he taught US History, Economics, and World History. He also coached football for two years and baseball for 6.
Mr. Watson grew up in Ellaville, GA and graduated from Schley County High School in 2004. He graduated from the University of Georgia in 2008 and began teaching the same year.
Mr. Watson is married to Dr. Jessica Watson. They have 2 children, Claire and William.
